A free family cookbook kit from Kitchen Book

Start the family cookbook you've been meaning to make.

A free printable recipe template, designed to live in a binder.

The Cover

A title page for your binder. Add your family name, a date, or whatever you want written on the front ten years from now.

How To Guide

A quick explanation of the format. Simple enough to understand in about a minute.

Section Dividers

For desserts, holidays, weeknight dinners, handwritten family recipes, or whatever categories your kitchen naturally turns into over time.

Recipe Template

The page you'll use most. A printable recipe template designed to be filled in by hand and printed as many times as you need. One recipe per page.

Recipe Index

A running table of contents for your binder. So when somebody asks for "that chicken thing," you can actually find it.

Why We Made This

Kitchen Book started because I realized my favorite recipes were scattered everywhere.

Some lived in food blogs. Some were stuffed into drawers. Some were clipped from magazines years ago. One came from the back of a Hellmann's jar and somehow became permanent.

The internet recipes were easy to print and save. The handwritten ones weren't. The recipes on index cards. The ones with stains on them already. The ones somebody copied down quickly at a kitchen counter twenty years ago.

So I made a free printable recipe template that lets all of them live together. Even the ones that started on a jar.

Print the pages. Fill them in slowly. Add recipes over time. Build the kind of cookbook that gets heavier every year.

This is just the start

The DIY kit is the printable version. Simple. Immediate. Something you can start using tonight.

The bigger thing we're building is called Binder Originals — a way to turn family recipes into beautifully formatted Kitchen Book pages while still keeping the feeling of where they came from.

The recipes written on cards. The recipes clipped from packaging. The recipes somebody texted you three years ago and you still make once a month.

Everyone who downloads the kit gets first access when Binder Originals launches.
